Sims celebrated her birthday the following day, on Tuesday. And Barnes was sure to serenade his fiancé with a special birthday post shared on Instagram.

As I’m laying nxt to you right now trying to think of a caption that will capture how important you are to me..
Your Heart Soul Energy & Spirit have saved me from myself, you’ve stuck by my side when I didn’t deserve you, you loved me at times when I didn’t love myself. You’ve taught me so much in the last 5yrs that I can’t begin to thank you enough. Anansa I love you to the moon & back. Thank You for being such an amazing Friend, Lover, Mother & support system to this family. Oh, also thank you for being my fiancé. Happy BIRTHDAY TO THE MOST AMAZING WOMAN I KNOW.

The Couple’s Five-Year Relationship

According to Ice Cream Convos, Barnes and Sims have been together for five years. The couple shares a 4-year-old son and each has children from previous marriages. Sims has three sons from a previous marriage to former NFL player David Patterson. And Barnes has twin boys from a previous marriage to Gloria Govan, as reported by the outlet.

The couple began a romantic relationship, after their respective divorces, in 2017. However, in 2019, the couple split. And Barnes was served with a restraining order for allegedly mistreating Sim’s children, as previously reported by The Shade Room.

Roommates, are you excited for the couple?
