Fans of the hit Netflix dating reality series ‘Love Is Blind’ are in for some sad news, as season two stars Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones have just announced they are officially divorcing after just one year of marriage. The couple previously tied the knot in front of family and friends during the March ‘Love Is Blind’ season finale, which was initially filmed last year.
Via a joint statement posted to both of their Instagram accounts, Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones broke the news regarding that their ‘Love Is Blind’ nuptials have come to an end:
“What’s going on family. After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing. While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the absolute best.”
The now-former couple’s statement continued, adding “We hope you all will give us some space as we close this chapter of our lives. Thank you to our close friends and family for loving us both through our experience. To the ‘Love Is Blind’ family and Netflix, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity and support. Each of you have brought overwhelming love and joy into our lives. This experience has taught us so much about ourselves, vulnerability and love. We don’t regret a single thing!”
‘Love Is Blind’ has proven to be a ratings hit and a fan-favorite, as both seasons of the show continue to break records and become instant trending topics on social media when new episodes are released. However, Iyanna and Jarrette are definitely not the first couple to call it quits after appearing on the show.
