Six years have passed and Rita Ora still can’t escape rumors of being the alleged “Becky with the good hair” that Beyoncé was referring to in her 2016 single “Sorry.”

The 32-year-old sat down for a recent interview on Louis Theroux Interviews…, and the British-American host was not shy about getting into all the tea with Ora – or should we say Lemonade?

Ora Was Put In The Hot Seat

Theroux questioned Ora about the singer sporting a lemon motif bra and a “J” initial necklace shortly after the release of “Sorry.” Ora had snapped a photo of her wearing the racy ensemble and shared it on Instagram. This left fans speculating that she was firing back at Beyoncé’s “Becky with the good hair” bar.

Oh my god, it literally was a coincidence. I didn’t even think about it, I swear. And it wasn’t a J, it was an R. They flipped it round and then it looked like a J.

The British-American host then asked Ora if she purposely wore the racy ensemble to stir up rumors.

No, it had nothing… No, that was mt own design with an underwear company called Tezenis that I was working with… This is what I mean, man. A pinch of salt — you’ve got to take things with a pinch of salt. And that’s what’s insane. I had to just through that until a good friend of mine, Katy Perry, gave me a hilarious badge that said ‘not Becky.’

Ora Also Shed Light On Her Second Album, Intended To Be Released Under Roc Nation

Ora also shared what happened to the music she recorded prior to being released from her contract with Roc Nation. As The Shade Room previously reported, Ora took the label to court in 2015 and alleged they failed to release her music. Roc Nation fired back, saying they invested millions into Ora’s career. And added that she was supposed to provide the label with five albums. Roc Nation alleged they only received one.

Ora settled with the label in 2016. But told Theroux that prior to her departure, she had recorded songs for “two or three years straight” before the label decided to shelve her second album.

There was a whole moment that was about to happen, I recorded a music video and they scrapped it. I felt really disappointed like I’d let them down.
