Ted Baker, the global lifestyle brand, has signed a 10-year lease on 3,300 sq. ft at Basingstoke’s Festival Place. The new store will be located on the ground floor and stock Ted Baker’s full range of womenswear, menswear and accessories.

The brand joins many other fashion retailers at Festival Place and further consolidates the menswear offer available at the centre.

Simon Barrett, Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at AEW, said: “The opening of a Ted Baker store at Festival Place is a great endorsement for the transformation that has taken place at the centre under AEW’s leadership and will complement the varying needs of Festival Place’s guests. The fact that Ted Baker is joining the scheme and that other brands have recently renewed their leases is very encouraging and testifies to our proactive approach to asset management.”

With more than 25 new leases/lease renewals agreed in the last 18 months, Festival Place is showcasing continued resilience and relevance as a key retail and leisure destination. The total number of visitors to Festival Place in August was 1.3 million which is an increase of +8.3% vs 2021 and outperform the UK National benchmark.

Having launched in October 2002, Festival Place was acquired by AEW in 2015 and is the highest ranked shopping centre outside a major UK city. It is listed in the top 25 of the latest Global Data’s UK shopping centres report and sits within Trevor Wood Associates’ Premier League of shopping centres

Joint agents for Festival Place are Lunson Mitchenall and Cushman & Wakefield. CBRE is the managing agent for the centre.
